The Valiant in the Spotlight:

Broadsheet Feature

Yesterday, we were thrilled to see The Valiant featured in Broadsheet, shining a spotlight on our glitzy cocktail lounge nestled within the heart of Melbourne’s CBD. This piece captured the essence of what makes The Valiant a hidden gem, and we couldn’t be more excited to share our story with you.

Inspired by Melbourne’s iconic hidden bar culture, our founder,

Simon Kouba, wanted to create a space that was more than just a place to grab a drink—it’s an experience, a discovery.

Tucked away in a car park on Little Collins Street, The Valiant isn’t just any bar; it’s a destination waiting to be found. The journey begins with a neon sign that simply reads “The Valiant,” a remnant from the venue’s previous life.

But once you step inside, you’re welcomed into a world of opulence, where velveteen seating, marble tables, and a ceiling adorned with 200 disco balls (with 200 more on the way) set the stage for an unforgettable night.

Broadsheet highlighted some of our unique offerings that make The Valiant stand out in Melbourne’s vibrant nightlife scene. Whether it’s indulging in a caviar bump or six oysters for just $15 on Wednesday nights, or enjoying our selection of French-inspired finger food at any time, there’s something for every palate. And let’s not forget our exclusive cocktail menu, meticulously curated to complement the luxurious surroundings.

Simon Kouba, in his interview with Broadsheet, described The Valiant as “a hidden gem in the middle of the city,” and we couldn’t agree more. We’ve taken a space that was once bare and transformed it into a glitzy sanctuary where you can escape the hustle and bustle of the city, if only for a while.

As we continue to grow and evolve, we’re excited to bring even more magic to The Valiant. With plans to add another 200 disco balls, our aim is to create an atmosphere that’s both dazzling and inviting—a place where memories are made, and the ordinary becomes extraordinary.

If you haven’t visited us yet, now is the perfect time. Come find us in the car park on Little Collins Street, and discover what makes The Valiant one of Melbourne’s best-kept secrets.

And to Quincy Malesovas and the Broadsheet team, thank you for capturing the spirit of The Valiant so beautifully.
