RNB NEWS
Your official update from the RNB universe starts now. Welcome to RNB News, Vol. 2.
Is DRAKE'S NEW ALBUM WORTH THE HYPE?
Drake is back with ICEMAN, his first solo album since For All The Dogs, and fans are divided. While some critics are calling it his strongest body of work in years, others feel he’s still stuck revisiting old drama rather than pushing his sound forward.
For RNB lovers, tracks like Whisper My Name and Burning Bridges showcase the melodic side of Drake that helped make him a global superstar, blending smooth vocals with moody production. Meanwhile, songs like What Did I Miss? lean more heavily into rap, with Drake addressing the fallout from some of the biggest moments of his career.
So, is ICEMAN worth the hype? If you’re a fan of Drake’s signature mix of RNB and rap, there’s plenty to enjoy. It may not be his most groundbreaking project, but it’s certainly got people talking—and streaming.
HOTTEST NEW ARTIST: MARIAH THE SCIENTIST
Atlanta singer Mariah The Scientist is quickly becoming one of RNB’s biggest rising stars. Fresh off her first Australian tour, growing demand has proven her fanbase is stronger than ever. Known for tracks like Burning Blue and All for me.
Viral moments on TikTok have introduced her music to millions of new listeners worldwide. With momentum continuing to build, Mariah is definitely an artist to watch.
20 Years Of Chris Brown
It’s hard to believe Chris Brown has now been making music for 20 years. Bursting onto the scene in 2005 with the smash hit Run It!, Brown quickly became one of RNB’s biggest stars. Early classics like Yo (Excuse Me Miss), With You, Take You Down and Forever helped define late-2000s RNB and cemented his place in music history. Fast forward to today and he’s still dominating playlists with modern hits including Under The Influence, No Guidance, Call Me Every Day and his latest release, Something In The Water. Few artists have managed to stay relevant across two decades, making Chris Brown one of the most enduring names in contemporary RNB. He is rumoured to be touring very soon too so we’d definitely. say to keep an eye out
