After 9:30pm, Beyond The Plate doesn’t end, it transforms.
Live DJs take centre stage, chairs are cleared, and the space opens up for dancing.
BEYOND THE PLATE is shaped by the soulful sounds of Sophia Brown. a defining voice of the night, appearing throughout the season, alongside a rotating lineup of guest vocalists and live musicians each week.
After 10.30pm, Beyond the Plate doesn’t end — it evolves.
The live RNB set may be over, but the night is far from done.
As the final notes fade, live Dj’s take over. The vibe shifts from smooth to electric, the lights drop lower, and the energy kicks up a level. You’re suddenly standing beneath 200 disco balls, with DJ’s spinning into the night.
This is the After Party — the next chapter of Beyond the Plate. Cocktails? Oh, they’re still flowing — but now it’s your move. Step up to the bar and order from our à la carte menu of decadent, mysterious creations. These aren’t just drinks — they’re transformations. Some stir nostalgia. Some flip expectations. All of them are made to take you somewhere

You’ll find us hidden at 412 Little Collins Street, tucked discreetly through the carpark. Look for the blue door — it’s your gateway in.
Follow the stairs, step into the glow, and welcome to The Valiant — where the city fades and the night begins.
To enter our event ‘Beyond the plate: an intimate RNB dining experience’, yes, a ticket is required, as it includes unlimited cocktails and dinner as well. However, after 10:30pm we will reopen for walk ins with a $20 door charge. This will include access to the lounge area but not the bottomless drinks and dinner package. Live vocal artist will also be finished by then.
The bottomless cocktails will go for two hours, from 7:30-9:30pm. The drinks included are: Porn star martini, pineapple daiquiri, lychee gimlet, as well as selected wines and beers.
The event starts at 7:30pm, so unfortunately if you are running late there is nothing we can do. You can still enter at anytime but you will miss out on some of the live music and you will have less time to enjoy the bottomless cocktails.
